CHICAGO — Police have caught the woman they were looking for in the hit-and-run that killed a married couple in Will County.

Mary Beth Mosqueda, 35, was charged with two counts of failing to report an accident involving personal injury or death after the March 9 event. Last month, the police issued an arrest warrant for her.

As of Wednesday, Sept. 4, she was put into the county jail after being on the run for a while. On Thursday, she was supposed to go to court.

Crest Hill police say that when they arrived at the scene late at night in the 2100 block of Plainfield Road, they found two people who were badly hurt. The police said they were both dead at the scene.

The victims were named by the Will County Coroner as Laurie Cooper, 53, and Danny Cooper, 68, both from Plainfield.

The couple had just moved back to the area and was at a bar with friends before the fatal accident.
