Police Early Morning Bar Stabbing in Wisconsin Leaves One Hospitalized
Madison, Wisconsin – Authorities in southern Wisconsin say two people were injured after a suspect attacked them with a knife.
According to the Madison Police Department, at about 1 a.m. on September 22, officers responded to a report of an attack at a pub in the 600 block of State Street. A man allegedly attacked two customers with a knife inside the bar.
Officials said the suspect stabbed a man in the throat. The victim’s son then reportedly arrived to assist but was also injured by the knife.
The bar personnel quickly requested assistance, according to the announcement. The man, who was stabbed in the neck, was reportedly sent to the hospital.
Authorities say he’s in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene before cops arrived.
The investigation is still ongoing, according to police, and is being led by the Violent Crime Unit.
