Police are seeking for a creep who broke into an Upper East Side apartment early Saturday and raped a 29-year-old woman before fleeing.
The brutal incident occurred at 3:40 a.m. near East 92nd Street and First Avenue, when police say the attacker broke into the victim’s apartment and attacked him.
According to police sources, the woman was napping in her second-floor flat when an intruder woke her up and hit her in the face.
According to the NYPD, the woman was rushed to Lenox Hill Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
On Sunday, police published security footage and a photograph of the suspected rapist fleeing the scene.
He is wearing blue trousers, a white shirt with a design on the front, and a camouflage jacket.

The horrifying attack occurred amid an increase in sex crimes in the Big Apple this year compared to the previous year, including the attempted rape of a Montana woman near a Greenwich Village subway stop on September 15.
The goon followed the woman as she exited the station, chasing her as she tried to flee, then slugging and groping her while threatening her.
According to NYPD crime statistics, rapes are up 13% this year as of September 22 compared to the same period last year, with 157 this year compared to 124 in 2023.
The department’s 19th Precinct, where Saturday’s home break-in occurred, has had three rapes reported as of Sept. 22, compared to none over the same period last year, according to records.
“Unfortunately, that’s where the city is right now,” said Heather, a financial services professional from the neighborhood.
“People don’t feel safe, whether it’s sexual attacks or just random violence on the street,” Heather, 37, told me. “I don’t walk along at night as often as I used to.”
Vera Aricha, 65, of the Upper West Side, has also noticed that she is looking over her shoulder more frequently.
“I don’t take the subway,” she informed The Post. “If I can handle it and have more time, I’ll take the bus. I refuse to take the subway. I do not go out at night. My children take Uber. We avoid strolling at night.
“I don’t think people are happy with this situation.”
