Portland Police Unveil Historic Single-Day Drug Bust, One of the Largest in City’s History
PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police said they caught a huge amount of drugs along Interstate 5. They called it “one of the largest single-day seizures” in the city’s history.
The Portland Police Bureau and a multi-agency drug task team worked together to make the bust on Thursday, which led to the seizure of drugs worth about $2 million.
A press statement from PPB said, “During a highway interdiction on Interstate 5 in the Portland area, investigators from PPB’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit/HIDTA Interdiction Taskforce seized 90 pounds of methamphetamine, 11 pounds of fentanyl, and 3.8 pounds of heroin.”
Officials said they couldn’t give out more information about the case because the investigation is still going on.
