One person was killed in a double-stabbing in San Jose on Monday night, the San Jose Police Department said. The other victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Just after 7 p.m., police were called to the 3200 block of Payne Avenue for a family disturbance. Callers told police that a “known suspect” had broken into their home and initiated a physical altercation.
Officers arrived to find a man and a woman with stab wounds. The man died at a hospital, and the woman is expected to survive.
The suspect tried to run away but was caught and arrested for murder. SJPD did not identify them but said they will be named later this week.
