SECAUCUS, NJ – According to Secaucus Police, a teenage boy in town uploaded and shared photos/videos depicting child sex assault.

Secaucus Police received an internet warning in September from State Police that multiple pornographic images/videos of underage juveniles had been published on Snapchat, X (previously known as Twitter), and the Telegram messaging app.

State Police, through their Internet Crimes Against Children [I.C.A.C.] Task Force, determined that the photos/videos were posted from an apartment at Harmon Cove Towers.

Secaucus police acquired a search warrant and searched the residence on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Police said they discovered a juvenile who resides there with over 900 images/videos depicting child sex assault. According to investigators, several of the images/videos represented preschool and grade-school children, as well as teenagers.

According to police, the adolescent was actively “trading” the photographs and videos with others online. His computer had been seized.

It is uncertain whether he knows any of the youngsters portrayed in these images/videos.

The teenager was charged as a juvenile with two charges of child endangerment and child endangerment (pornography). He was also charged with two charges of invasion of privacy in an unconnected incident in which he is suspected of taking and spreading a photo of a female he knew, displaying her intimate parts without her permission.

Kristen Bronowich, a detective with Secaucus Police, led the investigation.
