Disability benefits in the United States are funded by Social Security and the federal government. The most significant payments come from SSDI and SSI. The amount received depends on the requirements met.

The next disability compensation payment is expected on September 11. However, this money will not go to SSI recipients. It will only be available to those on SSDI who meet all of the Social Security requirements.
