South Carolina Beach Rules to Undergo Changes Following Labor Day

0

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — On Tuesday, the rules at beaches along the Grand Strand will change.

The city of Myrtle Beach said that starting Tuesday, you can bring your dogs to the beach as long as they are on a leash. On the beach, you can also bring your dog and your bike.

The rules have also been changed so that you can now use tents and booths up to 12 feet tall along with umbrellas. However, they must be 10 feet behind the umbrella line.

Futrell Park’s splash pad will not be open for the next few days.

When you’re in a boat or on a surfboard, you won’t have to stay in certain places at certain times.

North Myrtle Beach has the same rules. Also, surfboards and skimboards will no longer have specific places to be used. They can be used at any time of the day.

While Surfside Beach has some of the same rules, they won’t change until September 15.

So, from morning to sunset, dogs can be on the beach any time next Friday. Umbrellas and tents must be 10 feet behind lifeguard stands, and surfing isn’t allowed within 300 feet of the pier. But you can surf anywhere else.
