Study Reveals Louisiana Among Deadliest States for Night-Time Driving
BATON ROUGE, La. — A new study shows that Louisiana is one of the ten states with the most crashes at night.
Omega Law Group did a study that found the states where driving at night is the most dangerous. Hawaii was ranked as the most dangerous. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s records from 2017 to 2021 show that 59.01% of fatal crashes in Hawaii happen at night.
It was found that driving at night is the ninth most dangerous thing to do in Louisiana. The study found that 55.54% of fatal crashes happened at night. There were 3,754 fatal crashes in the state, and 2,085 of them happened at night.
Tenth on the list of states with the most crashes at night was New Jersey. The study found that 1,556 of the 2,857 fatal crashes happened at night.
