This initiative is crucial for reporting suspicious activities and is particularly relevant in combating human trafficking, which often sees an uptick during periods of increased travel like the holiday season.

The DPS reminds citizens that in cases of emergencies, 911 remains the primary contact. For non-emergencies, including road assistance or to report concerns, options include the Texas Roadside Assistance number, the iWatchTexas app, or the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
