cheapnailsalonsnearme– The operation to bring drugs into Texas prisons has led to charges against thirteen people, some of whom are prisoners and some of whom are correctional officers. Juan Francisco “Joker” Munoz, who is in prison serving a 35-year sentence for murder, is said to be in charge of the operation. The group is accused of bringing drugs into prisons through illegal cell phones and the mail. Correctional officers are said to have met with members who were not in jail to receive drugs and other illegal items. Some of the charges are conspiracy to possess fentanyl and methamphetamine with the intent to distribute them and conspiracy to launder money.

Public Opinion

People have had a lot of different reactions to the news. Some readers were upset and worried about how these actions would hurt the reputation of correctional officers. They talked about how important honesty is in the job and how dedicated many officers are to their jobs.

“This is so sad. It makes good officers like me look bad, and it makes it harder for good officers who want to work in this field!” I like what I do, and I do try to help all victims and reintegrate offenders into society.

Some people didn’t seem surprised, implying that drug smuggling in prisons happens all the time. They think this event is only the tip of the iceberg and that operations like this have been going on for a long time.

“This has been going on for more than one hundred years…” Not anything new… Either someone wasn’t allowed to join the organization or someone was kicked out and told on the organization…”

Some comments said that the way we deal with drug addiction needs to change, with people supporting rehabilitation over jail time. They say that a lot fewer problems would happen if drug addiction was seen as a health issue instead of a crime.

“That problem would get a lot better if we dealt with drug addiction the right way.” like making people go to rehab instead of jail time for possession and even putting those who still won’t stop in a long-term mental health program.

What people feel about the news is a mix of anger, sadness, and a desire for change. A lot of people think that this event is a sign of a bigger problem with the system that needs to be fixed. It is clear that the system needs to be looked at again and steps need to be taken to stop this from happening again.
