CheapNailsalonsnearmeIn a heart-wrenching turn of events, the Southwest Side community is grappling with the tragic death of 6-year-old Hosanna Honey Blue Sancho. Nephiterea Nicole Sancho, the 36-year-old mother of Hosanna, has been charged with capital murder of a child under 10, currently held on a $1 million bond.

The Frontera Crossing apartments became the center of a chaotic scene when police discovered the lifeless body of Hosanna. The young girl, who had an apparent wound on her upper body, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office is yet to confirm the cause of death, initially believed to be stab wounds.

Nephiterea Sancho’s history of mental illness, including a prior conviction for injury to a child and her non-compliance with outpatient treatment since 2021, casts a shadow over the case. The family is left reeling from the loss of Hosanna, remembered as a bright and curious girl who excelled in her first-grade class, was the only one who could play the violin, and had recently learned to swim.
