The North Carolina State Emergency Operations Will Now Be on Enhanced Watch as Tropical Storm Debby Gets Closer
NORTH CAROLINA — North Carolina is getting ready for Tropical Storm Debby to turn into a storm on Sunday.
A Facebook post from North Carolina Emergency Management says that the NC State Emergency Operations Center will change its status to “Enhanced Watch” on Monday at 7 a.m. so that they can start planning how to respond to Tropical Storm Debby.
In the NCEM system, an Enhanced Watch Status is the second level of three levels of action. Its main purpose is to focus on state employees who will help local governments get ready for an event.
