Three Police Officers Are Going to Campaign for Kamala Harris on January 6

Three police officers—two who used to work at the U.S. Capitol and one who works in Washington, D.C.—will be traveling this week to support Vice President Kamala Harris.

“In the end, I’m there to stop Trump.” I believe he is the most dangerous person to our democracy, Harry Dunn, a former Capitol Police officer, told Axios.

Dunn and Officer Daniel “Danny” Hodges of the Metropolitan Police Department will be in three towns in Michigan by the end of this week. Trips to North Carolina and Georgia are also being planned by the team.

The campaign for Harris-Walz says that former Capitol Police Sergeant Aquilino Gonell will also be at future events.

Dunn brought up the promise that former President Donald Trump would forgive people who were guilty of crimes on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol. He also talks about Trump’s promise to be a “dictator on day one” if he gets a second term.

Dunn says he knows Harris from when she was in the Senate.

“She always talked to us because she used to be a prosecutor.” “She liked seeing police work, so she always talked to Capitol Police,” Dunn told NBC.

Even though they didn’t say anything about the officers’ future campaign work, the Trump campaign told USA TODAY that Biden and Harris’s government is a threat to democracy.
