Trump Team Seeks Disqualification of Georgia DA Fani Willis Over Alleged Racial Remarks!
CNS News–Former President Donald Trump’s legal representatives are calling for the removal of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from a case related to election interference in Georgia. They argue that her involvement should be terminated due to what they characterize as “extrajudicial racial comments.”
In response to Willis’s recent filing, attorneys Steve Sadow and Jennifer Little, representing Mr. Trump, submitted a motion on Wednesday alleging that Willis had improperly introduced race into the case, inciting racial tensions. The motion specifically references a speech Willis delivered at Big Bethel AME Church, a historic Black church in Atlanta, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
During her speech, Willis defended Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor assigned to the case, amidst rumors of a potential romantic relationship between them. While Willis acknowledged a “personal relationship” with Wade in a court filing, she asserted that it only began after his appointment and argued against any impropriety justifying their removal from the case.
Although Willis did not directly mention Wade by name in her speech, she highlighted the racial dynamics in the case, noting that of the three lawyers hired for the case—two white and one Black—only the qualifications of the Black attorney had been scrutinized.

She questioned whether some individuals would ever perceive a Black man as qualified, regardless of his achievements. In their motion, Trump’s legal team condemned Willis’s remarks as “undeniably unethical,” accusing her of injecting race, religion, and politics into the case.
They argued that her comments, including questioning why the judgment of a Black female Democrat was not considered as valid as that of White male Republicans, had fueled racial animosity. Both Willis and Wade are expected to testify on February 15th in response to the calls for their disqualification, as reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
