Two Dead, One Injured in Point Loma Shooting, San Diego Police Confirm

SAN DIEGO — On Wednesday afternoon, there was a shooting in Point Loma that left two people dead and one person hurt. Someone else was taken to the hospital.

Police say the shooting took place at Poinsettia Drive and Zola Street just before 4 p.m.

A 60-year-old man was arrested by police. But the cops don’t know what kind of connection there is between the shooter and the three victims.

Police in San Diego said they found a shotgun at the scene of the crime. Police also said that the shooter was one of the people in the area who called them.

The two people who died were identified by the police to be a woman, possibly in her 60s, and a man, possibly in his 30s. The third victim is an 80-year-old woman who is in the hospital.
