Two North Carolina Men Sentenced for Possession of Over 40 kg of Methamphetamine in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma

Sequoyah County, Oklahoma – According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, two North Carolina men were recently convicted for possessing more than 40 kg of methamphetamine.

Teon Raynard Robbins, 45, and Antwon Marquise Williams, 33, were sentenced on Friday for federal drug offenses.

Robbins was sentenced to almost 24 years in jail, while Williams was sentenced to six and a half years on federal drug possession and distribution counts.

According to investigators, on March 1, 2023, law officers stopped Williams and Robbins on Interstate 40 in Sequoyah County for speeding.

Their vehicle was examined, and investigators discovered over 40 kilograms of methamphetamine wrapped in 100 plastic bags. The bags were found inside three duffle bags in the vehicle’s back seat, according to the announcement.

Williams pleaded guilty to one count of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute on November 29, 2023. Robbins pleaded guilty to the same offense on December 4, 2023.

Both will remain in US Marshal custody until they are transported to a Bureau of Prisons facility to serve non-paroleable sentences of incarceration.

The accusations stemmed from investigations by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
