HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together an attempted robbery in north Harris County, where the victim turned the tables on his attackers, who actually turned out to be young children.

According to Major Suarez with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just after midnight. Responding officers were called to an apartment complex on N Houston Rosslyn off Hwy 249 and found a person with several gunshot wounds. That person was later found to be a young child, whose age wasn’t disclosed as of this writing.

While officers were investigating, and treating the young man, two other young children were found with gunshot wounds. The shooter/victim, an unidentified man, also came to the scene to turn himself in to authorities.

A total of three kids were rushed to a hospital, but only two were said to be in stable condition. The fourth child, Major Suarez said, was detained as well as the victim/shooter, who we’re told is cooperating with the investigation.

Initial reports suggested the kids were using BB guns to rob the victim/shooter, but Major Suarez said they could not confirm that as of this writing. Deputies did, however, recover several guns at the scene though and are taking them to be processed.

No additional information has been shared, so it’s unclear who will face charges, as of this writing, but an investigation remains underway.
