Wisconsin Woman Arrested Following Stabbing Incident Involving Pruning Saw

MADISON, Wis. – Another woman was stabbed with a Fiskars pruning saw, and a woman from Wisconsin was arrested on Tuesday.

A news statement says that Madison Police Department officers were called to the area of State Street and West Mifflin Street just before 9 p.m. Monday night for a fight with a knife.

One of the people who called the police said that a woman who was involved in the fight was bleeding heavily. When the Madison Police Department got there, they saw that the woman had been badly hurt with an edged tool.

Some of the cops helped the victim while others looked for Alicia Padilla, who had already left the scene of the crime. The unnamed victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and her state is said to be stable.

Madison police found a pruning saw close and found that Padilla had used it in the fight. Police think that Padilla and the victim know each other and that the saw attack happened because the two of them had an argument.

Even though Padilla was lost all night, police were able to find her and arrest her on Tuesday morning. She was taken to the Dane County Jail on these charges:

First-Degree Reckless Damage

Important Battery

Getting into a fight while armed

Jumping the Bail

The news statement also said that Padilla was wanted on a probation warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Padilla was charged with having methamphetamine and drug tools, but records from the Wisconsin Circuit Court show that he did not show up to court.

In the alleged stabbing case, Padilla has not been publicly charged.
