On Friday, a shooting in Brooklyn left one person dead and another wounded. At 17 Louisiana Ave., East New York, between Williams Avenue and Hegeman Street, the shooting occurred just before 7 o’clock in the evening.
A woman was declared dead at the scene after being shot multiple times. At Brookdale Hospital, a 26-year-old is in critical condition after being shot multiple times. The victims, according to the police, are a mother and her son.

An individual who was thought to be the female victim’s partner has been apprehended by the police. It was not immediately apparent what had transpired to trigger the shooting. The shooting has prompted an ongoing investigation. Fortunately, no one else was hurt.
