A Springfield Man Who Distributes Illegal Firearms Could Spend up to 15 Years in Prison!
CNS News– A Springfield man, identified as 24-year-old Edward Nathan Gale, has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to firearms offenses. Court documents reveal that between February 22, 2022, and December 2, 2022, Gale engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of approximately 50 privately manufactured firearms, commonly known as “ghost guns,” to individuals in Kansas and Massachusetts.
In addition to manufacturing firearms, Gale also imported around 100 Glock-style machine gun conversion devices, referred to as “Glock switches,” from China between October 11, 2022, and December 8, 2022. Approximately 60 of these conversion devices were distributed by Gale in Massachusetts and other locations, alongside other firearms and a silencer.
A search of Gale’s residence on January 5, 2023, resulted in the recovery of a Pioneer Arms semi-automatic rifle, numerous rounds of ammunition, various tools, parts, and accessories used for manufacturing ghost guns, and evidence of Gale’s importation and distribution of Glock switches.

Gale’s previous felony conviction prohibited him from possessing firearms, rendering his possession of the rifle, ammunition, and Glock switches illegal. Furthermore, Gale was not licensed to manufacture or distribute firearms, making his actions unlawful.
As part of his guilty plea, Gale faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, five years for unlawful firearms dealing, and 10 years for unlawful possession of machine guns. Additionally, he faces a maximum of three years of supervised release for each count. Gale has also agreed to forfeit a Pioneer Arms rifle and various tools, parts, and accessories used in the manufacture of ghost guns.
