An elderly woman died weeks after sustaining life-threatening injuries in an accident.
The woman was stuck between the door and frame of a black Nissan Murano and a wooden utility pole when she crashed on October 10, 2024, near 3914 Elmwood Avenue.
Police say the victim was brought to Truman Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Monday that the woman died on Saturday, October 26.
Her death is the 80th fatality from a car accident in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2024.
