CNS News–A body that had been broken down was found in an East Tremont apartment building during a wellness check by the NYPD. The body was found on the fifth floor of 800 East 179th St., close to Mapes Avenue, over the weekend.
Police say the call for the check-up came in at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and when they got there, they saw the body starting to break down. At this point, no one knows how long the body was there.
Living there, Emmanuel said, “It’s really strange because I never hear anything in this building or this area.”

The medical examiner is trying to figure out what killed the person. The body has not been named yet.
