Kansas Gas Service Has Submitted a Request to Increase Their Prices!
CNS News– The Kansas Gas Service has sent in a request for authorization to increase its rates to recoup the investments it has made to maintain its reliability and safety. The request to increase the net base rates of $58 million was submitted to the Kansas Corporation Commission to raise them.
Additionally, it has suggested new residential rate options that are determined by the amount of energy that the customer consumes, which may provide them with a greater degree of control over their bills.
According to Sean Postlethwait, vice president of operations for Kansas Gas Service, “We are committed to safety, improving our system, and the reliable delivery of natural gas, even in challenging weather circumstances such as Winter Storm Uri in 2021 and Winter Storm Gerri this past January.”
