Man From McAllen Remains at Large in Mystery Surrounding Texas’s Most Wanted!

CNS NewsRaul Herrera Jr., 52, of McAllen, has been identified as February’s featured fugitive by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). A reward of $8,500 is being offered for information leading to his arrest if a tip is received during February.

Herrera, who has ties to the Rio Grande Valley, McAllen, and Mexico, is associated with the Tango Vallucos gang and has a history of criminal activity dating back to 1990. His convictions include aggravated assault, drug-related offenses, and money laundering.

In May 2023, warrants were issued for Herrera’s arrest in Hidalgo County for charges including aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, and violation of bond/protective order.

Described as Hispanic, approximately 5’8″ tall, and weighing about 190 pounds, Herrera is considered armed and dangerous. He has tattoos on his chest and both arms.
