Man Wanted in Georgia Murder Case Apprehended by Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office!
CNS News–In a notable inter-state law enforcement effort, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) in Florida apprehended Charles Franklin Cook, a fugitive wanted in connection with a murder in Georgia. The operation was initiated following a tip-off from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, indicating that Cook might be in the Crestview area.
Cook, who had an active arrest warrant in Cobb County, is accused of domestic violence-related homicide and aggravated assault with intent to murder. The OCSO’s Special Investigations Section located Cook and his vehicle in a Publix supermarket parking lot in Crestview.
His subsequent arrest and detention in the Okaloosa County Jail, pending extradition to Georgia, highlight the effectiveness and importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies across state lines in apprehending individuals accused of serious crimes.
