0

cheapnailsalonsnearme– Nate Gonzalez, a 9-year-old boy from Corpus Christi, Texas, has been spreading Christmas cheer to children in foster care for the past three years. Nate’s Next Kid Up, an annual toy drive, was started by Nate when he was just 7 years old. Instead of asking for gifts for himself, he wanted to give them to children in foster care.

The toy drive has been held at In The Game Funtrackers in Flour Bluff for the past three years. People can donate a new toy or sports item and receive a free one-hour game card. Other festivities at the toy drive include a picture with Santa Claus, a picture with The Grinch, hot cocoa, face painting, and more. The event is a great way to get the community together and show that anything is possible.

Nate's Next Kid Up Brings Early Christmas

Nate’s Next Kid Up has been a huge success, with over 800 toys donated last year alone. The donations go to CASA of the Coastal Bend, an organization that helps children in foster care. When the children receive the gifts, they are told that the community got these for them because they want them to be happy. The toy drive has been so successful that Nate and his parents have started doing other drives to collect Easter baskets and back-to-school supplies with CASA of the Coastal Bend. Their goal for next year is to become a nonprofit to help children in more ways.

Nate’s Next Kid Up is a heartwarming story of a young boy who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children in foster care. His selflessness and generosity have inspired many people in his community to come together and help those in need. The toy drive is a great way to show that anything is possible when we work together. It is a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
