NYC Police: 7-Year-Old Boy Miraculously Escapes Serious Injury After Falling Three Floors from Building!
CNS News– A 7-year-old boy fell three stories down the side of his East Harlem high-rise building and landed on a ledge on the 9th floor on Friday. Police and neighbors said the boy was lucky to be alive. Police say the kid got away with only a few minor injuries after the crazy event at the 14-story apartment building on East 131st Street near Harlem River Drive.
The boy was playing on a balcony on the 12th floor around 11 a.m. when he jumped off and fell to the 9th floor, where he screamed for help until someone came to help him. One woman told The Post, “He said, ‘I slipped.'” Eugenia McCall, 53, watched the child hang from the edge of her 9th-floor terrace as she walked from the bedroom in the back of her apartment.
It was said that the boy almost fell off the ledge because he was so confused. One leg was on the railing and the other was hanging off the street. “We are yelling at him, ‘No, come back, bring your body back over!'” He came back, but he’s not letting him go,” she remembered. My son Jalil, who is 31 years old, was the one who grabbed the boy and pulled him to safety.

The boy was complaining that his back hurt, so they called 911 right away. He said it was miraculous that the child didn’t break any bones. He was taken to Metropolitan Hospital, where police said his condition was stable. McCall said, “I’m just glad we were here because that baby would have gone over the edge if we weren’t.”
She looked at the ledge outside her window and said, “That concrete now has a dent in it.” After the accident, people in the area wondered how the boy was able to get through the window, which had hinges. Someone who lived there said about the window, “I have a narrow head and I can’t stick my head out.” “Something must be wrong.”
After the scary event, the building’s management sent a notice to all the residents, telling them to make sure that their window limiters were properly installed. It was after the child’s fall that the super and porter went through the whole building to make sure that all safety measures were in place.

It’s strong. She told The Post, “It’s strong.” She pointed to a small wooden table in her home and said, “This is my altar.
This is where I pray.” “And I believe that my prayers and my son’s quick action saved that baby’s life today.” Despite not being seriously hurt, the boy was very upset after the fall, McCall said. “You know that’s scary. “That’s a kid,” she said. “He was scared and didn’t know what to do.”
