A US Air Force Worker Has Been Charged with Putting Sensitive Information on A Dating Website!

CNS NewsDavid Franklin Slater, a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force, found himself facing federal charges for disclosing classified defense information. The indictment against Slater, aged 63, alleges that he shared classified material regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict with an individual he met on a foreign online dating platform.

Slater, who previously served as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army before joining the Air Force as a civilian, currently faces three counts, each carrying a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years upon conviction. The indictment accuses Slater of sharing classified information through email and online messages with someone claiming to be a resident of Ukraine.

The recipient, referred to as Slater’s “secret agent” and “secret informant love,” remains unidentified. Slater was stationed at U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska at the time of the alleged disclosures.
