Drivers Leave Early to Beat the Thanksgiving Weekend Rush!
People got on the roads early to avoid the last-minute rush of people leaving for Thanksgiving. (The picture above was taken by Elizabeth Pe.) From noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, northbound Interstate 15 was very crowded near Stateline Primm Nevada.
Then in the Cajon Pass, there were no big problems. From Stateline to the end of the Cajon Pass, traffic was said to be about two hours behind schedule. Sunday, the time will be at least three to five hours late because of crashes.
