Exclusive: Texas Police Arrested Patrick Mahomes’ Father on Charges of DUI!
CNS News–The father of Patrick Mahomes, the great quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, was taken into custody in Tyler, Texas, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to records found online. The bond for 54-year-old Patrick Mahomes Sr., who is accused of driving while intoxicated for the third time or more, is $10,000.
On Sunday afternoon, he was let out of the Smith County Jail. According to state law, the offense is a third-degree felony and, upon conviction, carries a jail sentence of up to ten years. His son is scheduled to play in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas against the San Francisco 49ers, and his arrest occurred only one week before the game.
Mahomes Sr. served 40 days of his sentence, which included weekend time in prison, after pleading guilty to a prior DWI conviction in Texas in 2018. He was a major league pitcher for six different clubs from 1992 and 2003.
