According to authorities, a relative in Texas shot a child in the head while cleaning a firearm over the weekend. At about 5:15 p.m., the San Antonio Police Department was alerted to reports of a shooting at a residence.
A department spokesperson stated that upon arrival at the residence, officers discovered a 4-year-old girl suffering from a superficial gunshot wound to her head. The grandpa of the youngster was reportedly cleaning a gun when authorities arrived home from the range, according to local media outlets.
