CNS NewsRecent polls suggest that President Joe Biden would narrowly defeat Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, marking the third poll in a week to make such a prediction. The two politicians secured their nominations after winning multiple presidential primaries, setting the stage for a rematch.

According to a national survey conducted by the Democratic super PAC Progress Action Fund and reported by The Hill, Biden leads Trump by 46 to 45 percent, with a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points, indicating a statistical tie. Two other polls released in the same week also suggest a narrow victory for Biden.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll of 3,356 registered voters found Biden leading with 39 percent compared to Trump’s 38 percent, with a margin of error of +/- 1.8 percentage points. Additionally, a Civiqs/Daily Kos poll of 1,324 registered voters gave Biden 45 percent of the vote to Trump’s 44 percent, with a margin of error of +/- 2.8 percent.

Despite these results, other polls indicate a tight race, with Trump leading in several surveys. A poll by Big Village predicted Trump would receive 41 percent of the vote to Biden’s 40 percent. Another poll within the same timeframe forecasted Trump to garner 39 percent of the vote share to Biden’s 37 percent. Additionally, a YouGov poll gave Trump 44 percent of the vote share to Biden’s 42 percent.
