If you are 18 years old or older and receive SNAP benefits, you qualify to take part in this program.Participants must be ready to transition into the workforce upon finishing this program.

Typically, education and training may hinder employment opportunities. The Bureau for Family Assistance (BFA) provides a network that offers training free of charge.
Every participant in the SNAP E&T program will be assigned a dedicated case manager to support them in reaching their goals as they transition into the workforce.

- Providing support services like transportation assistance and essential training items
- There are funding opportunities available, such as the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA).
- Enrolling individuals in apprenticeship and trade programs like CDL, nursing, dental programs, heating and cooling, plumbing, construction, and more.
- Engaging in on-the-job training and collaborating with our third-party partners, including Goodwill of Kanawha Valley, Coalfield Development, West Virginia Women Work, and Blenko Glass Company.
- Opportunities for securing paid employment
- Referrals are made to partner agencies like Jobs & Hope WV, Division of Rehabilitation Services, and Family Support Centers.
