Video Shows That a Woman With a Screwdriver Attacked Two Guys After a Car Accident in Miami


Police say a woman got angry after someone hit her car on the MacArthur Causeway and grabbed a screwdriver and a bottle of Windex to attack two men.

One of the drivers involved in the videotaped incident was named as Acklynn Mbabazi Byamugisha. The video has since been shared a lot on social media. Records from the jail show that the 26-year-old is being charged with aggravated battery and aggravated attack.

In the early hours of the morning, just before 6 a.m., the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of the bridge, close to U.S. 1. A white Toyota SUV crashed into Byamugisha’s black BMW. The BMW had stopped and was blocking part of the right lane going east.

A black BMW and a white Toyota SUV were seen on video with a lot of damage, and traffic was backed up all the way to the entrance to I-95.

CBS News Miami reports that Byamugisha got out of the BMW right after the crash and tried to surprise Freddy Diaz, the driver of the Toyota, with a knife. Even though Diaz’s father tried to stop the fight, it went on and Byamugisha had to be pulled off of the man.

Reports say that Byamugisha got the knife and Windex bottle from the Toyota. She told the Florida Highway Patrol that Diaz’s dad was “very threatening” and had “grabbed her and pulled her hair.”

Turned Guilford Knight Correctional Center is where she is being held. Her bond hasn’t been made yet.
