Navalny’s mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, and his lawyer visited the infamous jail over the weekend. The facility, known as the “Polar Wolf”, was previously a gulag where political dissidents suffered during Stalin’s rule. Officials informed Navalny’s lawyer and mother that his death was attributed to “sudden death syndrome,” a broad term encompassing various cardiac conditions leading to sudden cardiac arrest and death.
