CNS News– In another alarming instance of unprovoked violence plaguing New York City’s subway system, a 27-year-old woman fell victim to a vicious attack at the Bergen Street and Flatbush Avenue station in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The assailant, described as a male perpetrator, ambushed the unsuspecting victim from behind, slashing her neck as she descended the station steps.
The victim, a resident of the Upper West Side, was promptly rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where medical personnel stabilized her condition. Meanwhile, the assailant fled the scene on foot, evading capture and leaving authorities grappling with yet another act of senseless violence.
This brazen assault follows a disturbing trend of random attacks targeting subway passengers, further exacerbating concerns regarding public safety within the city’s transit infrastructure. The incident occurred just days after Governor Kathy Hochul announced plans to bolster subway security through the deployment of National Guardsmen.
