A Brute Suspected of Killing a 5-Year-Old NYC Girl Was Arrested After Hiding in Grandma’s Bathroom: Sources!
CNS News– Authorities have apprehended the individual suspected of perpetrating the heinous act of shooting a 5-year-old girl in the Bronx. The suspect, whose identity is being withheld pending formal charges, was discovered hiding in his grandmother’s bathroom, according to sources within law enforcement.
The breakthrough in the case came as a result of a tip received by NYPD Crimestoppers. The incident in question took place on June 29th, when the young victim was seated in the backseat of a beige Nissan on East 214th Street. A single bullet struck the vehicle from a block away, critically injuring the girl.
Fortunately, she was swiftly transported to the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where she eventually recovered from her injuries. This tragic event unfolded during a vigil for Justin Rodriguez, a 26-year-old man who had been fatally shot just days prior in an unrelated incident merely a block away from where the young girl was wounded.
Law enforcement officials revealed that multiple individuals discharged firearms during the vigil, exacerbating the chaos and endangering innocent lives. Addressing the media outside Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Chief of Patrol John Chell underscored the link between the shooting and a homicide that occurred the night before.
