A Man Puts Himself on Fire in Front of The Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.!


CNS NewsA man is currently in critical condition after setting himself ablaze outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, prompted a swift response from emergency services. According to reports from the D.C. Fire Department, the incident took place just before 1 p.m. on Sunday, with units rushing to the scene upon receiving the call.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male with severe burn injuries in front of the embassy, located in the 3500 block of International Drive in northwest D.C. The individual was promptly transported to an area hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries, as confirmed by fire officials.

Before the arrival of firefighting crews, the U.S. Secret Service managed to extinguish the fire, indicating that they had responded to an individual experiencing a possible medical or mental health emergency. The D.C. Metro Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), has launched an investigation into the incident.

Additionally, the police’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) was called to the scene to inspect a suspicious vehicle potentially linked to the individual. Fortunately, no hazardous materials were found in the vehicle.
