Brutal Attack on 75-Year-Old Woman in Bronx Elevator as Parolee Follows Her Into Building!

CNS NewsA Horrifying Attack occurred in the Tremont neighborhood of the Bronx, where a 75-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in the head by a parolee who followed her into an elevator at a residential building. The incident took place at 2066 Morris Avenue at 11:30 a.m.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered stab wounds to her face and head. The attacker, identified as 38-year-old Edwin Rios, allegedly stabbed her numerous times before fleeing the scene. Rios was later apprehended by police and is facing charges of attempted murder.

This is not the first time Rios has been involved in such a violent crime. He was previously on parole for a similar incident in October 2012, where he followed a 22-year-old woman off a bus in Queens and stabbed her in the back twice.

The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment, and her current condition is unknown. It is unclear if she had any prior connection to Rios or if she was targeted at random.
