Fairfax County Police Arrest Man After Missing NY Youngster Found at Home!
CNS News– The Fairfax County Police Department recently made a significant arrest in connection with a missing New York teenager, bringing relief to the teen’s family and highlighting the importance of cross-state cooperation in law enforcement. According to reports from the police department, on March 15, officers received information suggesting that a missing New York teen might be in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Following an investigation, officers located the teenager in a residence on the 7300 block of Sportsman Dr. in McLean. The teenager was found in the company of 20-year-old Muammer Steve Demir, a resident of McLean. Further investigation revealed that Demir had driven to New York in August of 2023 and then brought the teenager back to Virginia.
Additionally, police discovered that Demir owned child sexual abuse material. As a result, Demir was arrested and is currently facing charges of Carnal Knowledge of a Child and Possession of Child Abuse Material. Demir was taken into custody and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
