In a Bronx Shooting, One Man, 25, Died and Another Was Gravely Injured!

The incident occurred at East 187 Street and Tiebout Avenue in Fordham Heights just before 9 p.m., prompting multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired.

Upon arrival, police found the 25-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the chest and the 23-year-old victim with gunshot wounds to the stomach and buttocks. Both victims were rushed to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, where the 25-year-old was pronounced dead. The 23-year-old is currently in stable condition.

The identity of the deceased victim is being withheld pending notification of his family. No arrests have been made, and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. This tragic incident adds to the concerning trend of gun violence in the Bronx and highlights the need for community efforts to address the root causes of such violence.
