CNS News– A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center when a car crashed into the hospital’s emergency room, leading to the driver’s death and injuries to five others, among them a child who sustained critical injuries.
The incident unfolded just after 5:30 p.m., causing significant damage to the ER lobby. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the driver succumbed to their injuries. The Austin Fire Department and emergency medical services promptly responded to the scene, attending to the injured parties.
Among the injured, one individual received on-site treatment, while four others, including two adults and two children, were transported to various hospitals for further care. The medical community and hospital staff worked diligently to manage the situation, moving patients and setting up a temporary triage area to continue providing emergency services.
