Tragic incident: NJ Father Dies in Jail While Awaiting Trial for Fatally Shooting Daughter!
CNS News– A father in New Jersey was charged with killing his daughter with a gun last year. He died last week in Hudson County jail, officials confirmed on Tuesday. A spokesman for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said that on February 15, Hudson County Correctional Police Officers were told that an inmate had passed out in his cell at the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
The prisoner was named Errol Brown, 52, and he was waiting for his hearing for shooting and killing his daughter. Officers arrived and medical staff on the scene tried to help Brown. Next, he was moved to the Jersey City Medical Center. At about 3:45 p.m., they said he was dead.
It wasn’t clear right away what caused the death. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office was asked by the NJOAG to look into the case on its own because the person died while in prison. The office of the regional medical examiner will decide what caused the death. “There are no signs of foul play at this time,” the spokesman said.

According to the prosecutors, Brown was caught and charged with killing his daughter with a gun in an apartment at 331 Ave. E in Bayonne on June 13, 2023. The Bayonne Police Department got a call about a shooting and when they arrived, they found Keyanna Brown, 28, who had been shot in the upper chest. In addition to murder, Errol was also charged with having a gun for an illegal reason.
